global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cMUST DO\u201d MONTHLY POOL CHECKLIST<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Test and adjust Calcium Hardness<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Test and adjust for Total Dissolved Solids<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Test the total alkalinity, which should be in the range of 120-150 ppm.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Chemically clean the filter<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Visually inspect tile, grout, sealant, and other exposed elements of pool<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Conduct Langelier Saturation Index evaluation and adjust as necessary<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Test your salt levels if you have a saltwater pool.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you have a vinyl liner \u2013 check for holes and tears and make any needed repairs as soon as possible.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you have a concrete, gunite pool or fiberglass pool, check for cracks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Check the seals in your motor and pump.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Check all handrails, steps and other safety equipment to be sure that it\u2019s in proper working order.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/tropicalpool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/50-dollar-off-new-client-deal-tropical-pools.jpeg&#8221; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">IMPORTANT WEEKLY POOL MAINTENANCE<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"styled\">\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Remove any large accumulation of debris on the bottom with a leaf scoop.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Feed the pool with chlorine or other sanitizer to satisfy its requirements either manually or automatically.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Check that the water level is high enough for the pump to operate correctly.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Test and adjust sanitizer level (may require more frequent testing depending upon bather load and environmental conditions)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Visually inspect pool water for clarity, color and visible contaminants<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Remove floating leaves<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Test and adjust pH (may require more frequent testing depending upon bather load and environmental conditions)<\/span>\n<ul class=\"styled\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The pH should be in the range 7.4 \u2013 7.7 if the pool has a vinyl or tile finish. The range should be 7.3 -7.5 if the pool has a fiberglass finish. The range should be 7.4-7.6 for a gunite swimming pool. If the level is too high, then adjust it down using pH decreaser. The correct dosage is located on the label.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If the pH is too low, then add pH increaser. Again see labels for dosage. If the pH has dropped possibly so has your total alkalinity.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Don\u2019t correct your pH more than once a week.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Test chlorine levels in the pool water:<\/span>\n<ul class=\"styled\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Free chlorine levels should be between 1-3 ppm<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Free bromine levels should be between 3-5 ppm<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Test and adjust Alkalinity<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Test and adjust Oxidizer and Stabilizer levels<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Clean the tile at the water line<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Check filter pressure and backwash only if required<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Check water level and adjust as necessary at the prescribed rate of 1\u201d (25mm) per hour<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Add a preventative dose of algaecide as necessary<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"check-box\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Shock the pool as per label instructions.
